Yes, she has a blog she only recently started... BECAUSE I SAID SO. Read it and laugh. She's an incredible woman - I would not be able to ride herd on that many kids (even if they were mine!) and keep my sense of humor. I bow to her - she is a saint.
Hat Tip to my friend Charity for the link.

Now I'm off to the dentist yet again. You may remember a few weeks ago I was having nearly continuous bracket trouble. Well, things were going pretty well after the last visit and I thought I would make it for the entire month (next appointment was mid-September)... silly me, what was I thinking! Yesterday afternoon, the back bracket holding the rubber band, broke yet again. Luckily it turns out to have been pretty good timing as the dentist could fit me in today to fix it so I don't lose too much on the tooth moving back to where it was.
This is driving me straight up the wall though. I just want the damn tooth moved and get this over with. Oh well, I guess I'll eventually get there. But, at this rate, it might take longer to get this one tooth moved than it took to move all the rest of them...
That would be why Gigi's post was just the thing to read this morning.

First off Homefront Six is doing a fund raiser. It's for the party they'll be giving when her husband's unit returns home after 15 months in Iraq. She's doing an "at home online party". There are some excellent things to eat... head on over and read the details - then start ordering! You know you'll eat it!
Pam received her portrait of Tess today! Go check it out - it's beautiful.
Erica is very descriptive of her colleagues and their restroom etiquette or lack thereof.
Richmond's got attitude! You go girl!
Sissy Willis is creating artful food while going Cold Turkey.
Dogette is blogging about those tender doggie moments.
Jill has a story showing that exercise makes you smarter. After today's pilates class I should be a friggin' genius.
Miss Kelly is asking... where does this hijab come from?
Elisson is talking about wealth and how to accumulate it... he's right.
And lets end on the best note of all... we see the Army redecorating a house belonging to the enemy. There is a Chinook figuring prominently.
That's only part of the blogs I read. I need to throw out linky luv more often.
Blast... just as I posted this it looks like typepad has gone down so the links to Sissy, Miss Kelly, and Blackfive aren't working at the moment.

Will it be swords or pistols? And who are the seconds?
Yes, people get headaches from reading such drivel.
It's a ship, it's under water, but it's not a wreck...the captain just decided to leave it there and come back later - only he forgot. Right?
How many times did they have to tell them to "hold still so we don't have to do this again"?
Last but not least... isn't this supposed to be his job right now? Basically he's saying he won't do his current job, he wants the better job and THEN he'll do what he should be doing now... Ummm... Sure...

Then there was this.
More blogging once I stop laughing... which may not be for several days. Erica - you are a total nut.

So here goes:
Answer the following questions with the first thought that comes to mind. Then read which each answer means. (No cheating!)
1. You are not alone. You are walking in the woods. Who is with you?
Beloved husband naturally! We walk in the woods all the time. It's one of our favorite things to do.
2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal?
A squirrel... of course. Squirrels haunt me.
3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal?
It's up in a tree throwing nuts at us. That's what they do when they aren't destroying your property.
4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your DREAM house. How big is it?
That would be the house I have now. A "modern" cape cod with a front porch. On the smaller side because I don't like big houses.
5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?
6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining room table. What do you see on AND around it?
My favorite table and chairs. Dark wood top with the lower part painted black and black chairs. A beautiful flower arrangement in the center. A sideboard - also in black with matching wood top. Pictures on the wall. Not much room for more, possibly a large corner plant decoration.
7. You exit the house and a cup is on the ground, what kind is it?
Cup... okay, that would be one of my ceramic coffee mugs. Blue and white with nice thick sides to keep my tea warm.
8. What do you do with the cup?
Pick it up and take it inside because otherwise I might step on it and break it.
9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. What kind of body of water is it?
Fresh water lake. If I have my choice it would be the reservoir that's only a couple miles from us. Fairly large lake with a tiny island in the center - lovely pine trees all around.
10. How will you cross the water?
Oh goodie - options! I would like to cross in a sailboat.
What does it all mean? That's below the fold... more...

What caused this deviation from the norm? Well, it was the chance to meet Sissy Willis and her lovely husband Tuck at her father's place... so very aptly named Camelot by the Sea (this is Sissy's most recent entry from last week during a family get together). Her father, who comments as Goomp on her site, is just as terrific as I thought he would be.
Goomp has his own little slice of heaven, on an inlet by the ocean. There is the fabulous New England coastline which I believe I love above all others. It's the rocks you know, all the granite. I find it lovely. As I'm not the type of person to lay about on the beach (sunburn does NOT become me!) I prefer my coast with some visual variation.
There were delicious drinks, wonderful wonderful food, excellent weather, an outstanding walk around the "neighborhood", lots of pictures by Sissy (until her camera broke), boat watching, terrific conversation, and kitty cats. What more could one ask for. Absolutely the best way to spend a Saturday.
Going home was a breeze as Saturday evening is not a night many people travel. All in all it was a fabulous day. I think I'll sleep late in the morning.

But you have to wonder...
And then I see...
I am suspicious. Yes I am.
