Oh yeah... traveling for Christmas was something I was trying to avoid like the plague... didn't work. Luckily I can book a hotel with internet access - priceless!

You spend 2 days going through the web site of the company that made your oven trying to find out where the local service company might be... the page for finding local service won't accept your zipcode as valid when you are trying to find a local service person (the message tells you that you need to do something else if you live outside the US)... you end up finding a single store selling your type of oven in the entire state... you call them and THEY give you the company's phone number (which you were unable to find on the web site!) you get the number of a service person in your area... you call the service person - tell him what kind of oven you have - and his reaction is.... more...

4 Nope - my oven... *sigh* It does work somewhat - not the way it's supposed to though. It's very annoying! Luckily I'm not doing any Christmas parties at my place.

6 Well - it might only be a thermostat issue... He's got me doing some tests on it over the weekend, before he even comes out here. (mainly because they are time consuming - checking on pre-heating speed that kind of thing) Luckily the convection broiler works beautifully... I just can't bake anything reliably... the temp control is all over the place.
