It seems that everything "simple" is set up for you to type the name and address in directly. I refuse to retype something I already have in a database that is certainly usable. I'm stubborn that way.
Yes labels are a must if the post office is to be able to deliver them. I don't write enough anymore to have neat handwriting for more than 2 maybe 3 cards, then it all goes to hell.
Now I have to get back to placing my illegible scrawl on the cards... if only I could print out a signature line. But if I can't get labels to print on given label templates - I'll never get a signature to print on different sized cards. Sadly, after all this, I will never remember what I did for next year. I'm not even sure I remember it right now and I just did it.
*** Note to self: Make notes in the Treo ***
UPDATE: Well, I've gotten nearly all of my cards out and mailed. I have about 5 more requiring something special (since these are going to family I'm not too worried about them) - they will go out tomorrow. Whew! Nearly done.

OTOH - I have spent massive amounts of time wading through a broken email client...
So, for some much better reading than my whining... head over to Electric Venom for the Snark Hunt - full of snarky goodness.
As for me - I'm going to get some sleep before my eyelids glue themselves shut of their own accord.

Since it's not possible for me to drive without having my radio talking to me, I went back in, found the number of the dealership (yes we actually have a decent car dealership here in town and they do good work on our cars), called the guy and told him that this freaked me out. Was it okay to drive? Would it die on me in a parking lot somewhere?
He said the car would be fine, it was certainly okay to take it out and even if the radio stayed lit, it wouldn't drain the battery. He squeezed in an appointment for me tomorrow morning at 8am. I hung up thanking him for getting me in so quickly.
Whereupon, I decided I would drive the mini-van today. I simply can not deal with the drivers around here without a distraction.
All of this before I had my Starbucks. This is so not right.
Tonight my husband and I drove it over and put the key in the night drop. It's surreal looking at a car, parked in the lot, that's all dark - except for the radio with all the buttons and the display lit.
UPDATE: It was a fuse at the back of the radio. Now it's "fixed" but the guy told me when this happens, it often is caused by the radio itself. If it blows again, I'll need a new radio. Oh joy... Well, nothing to be done about it. I can only hope that this fuse lasts for at least a couple of months. I'd prefer to be messing with this after the holidays. (now watch it blow out again on Christmas Eve...)
