Waterlogged

Rain... yeah we got it... lots and lots of it.  Not quite as much as they are getting in Peabody, MA where they had flooding, but enough to make me wonder when we will all turn into mushrooms.

It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow... we shall see.  This ridiculous weather system has been hanging around for days now.  However, it finally spurred me on to order a rain gauge.  I've been thinking about it for a while and today I finally searched around and found what I wanted. All manual, no electronics to break.  I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to use it... meniscus and all.

I've been hitting up wunderground to get really local rain totals, but after checking out the nearby weather stations registered with them, I find they are all over the place when it comes to rain amounts. Sadly, the closest station (just over the hill) has an obviously broken gauge.  The other stations in the area have measured amounts between 0.3 and 0.6 inches of rain for today... theirs says 3.75... right. Somehow I just don't think so.  And it's like that all the time.  One of these days I want to check and see if they get any "rain" on a sunny day... now that would be fun.

So... soon people... very soon I shall be boring you senseless with rainfall and snowfall totals (oh yes, this gauge will do snow too! FTW!).

It doesn't take much to amuse me. Why do you ask?
