Christmas

Well, it's here. Our first Christmas at home in 23 years. Tomorrow and Monday my husband and I will be sitting here relaxing, being happy that for once we don't have to spend Christmas on the road. We don't have to get in the car and drive 6-7 hours, we don't have to fight airport crowds and wait for planes that won't take off, we don't have to try to find restaurants that might be open so we can eat, we don't have to listen to noisy televisions in the next hotel room, we're going to do... nothing. It's a wonderful thing. If this happens a few more years I may even start to like Christmas again.

To everyone who celebrates the season A Very Merry Christmas.

It Was A Catch Your Breath Week

This last week, blog daughter Irish Pixie had a bit of a scare when she ended up in the hospital in imminent danger of delivering her twins - right now.

Very luckily her momma was there with her and able to take her to the doctor and then the hospital.

An entire group of her internet friends rallied round with phone calls, emails, and prayers. The wonderful people on her AF base have pitched in to help her mom with a few things. Now our Pixie is back home (at least for the moment) and on strict bedrest, lest the twins make an extremely early appearance.

She'll have a long month or so ahead of her. It's hard to be on bedrest when you're used to moving about. But we're all very very thankful that "the boys" are behaving and not arriving right now!
