Hello

Yes, I've been avoiding the blog. Sorry about that. I've been doing many other things in my "real life" which means I get to the blog and I'm too tired to make the effort.

Had a meeting earlier in the week and those always tend to throw me completely off my routine. I should get out more. Ha.

I've been trying to figure out some online software that someone else set up. But without that person to explain what they did and why, it's taken me several days to unwind the process. It will now be tidied up and fixed to make it easier. I'll have to write some procedures so others can do the work without the same loss of time. *sigh*

The rest of the time has been spent looking cross-eyed at our work network stuff. Trying to figure out which thing goes to what and what networks go to which. I think I just about have a handle on it and then find something that doesn't fit. Lovely. I need some large sheets of paper and then I need to draw pictures of it to get a better idea. Just haven't had the time so far.

Bought some new boots that I really like - but they don't like me. I will be taping my feet up for quite a while until certain areas stop poking me. Most annoying.

About 5 weeks ago I stopped drinking soy milk in my Starbucks beverage. This came about when I was talking to my sister. She hadn't been feeling "right" and went to the doc. Turns out she has very low thyroid hormones floating about. They caught it very early and she'll be fine.

However, while discussing this with her, we talked about how she now needed to avoid soy products because of the thyroid hormone (or at least avoid them for about 4 hours after taking them). She told me she had given up all soy about six months ago because it was causing digestive problems for her. I went searching around and reading about soy/soy milk after that and decided it might be a good experiment to see what would happen if I gave it up.

Turns out - lots happened. My digestion has changed completely. I am now sleeping through the night most every night (I was at the point where I was waking up every 2 hours with severe hot flashes). I have almost no hot flashes any time day or night. And in general I am feeling less irritable. I'd say it's been a success.

So now I've gone from a Soy Mocha every day to regular coffee with chocolate. I can't give up the chocolate.

3 As a youngin I was allergic to milk and I lived on a soy substitute. Once I got older I switched from that to lots of wine and I've slept fantastically ever since.

I highly recommend it!

4 Mr. Bingley I do believe I am the only person in the world who gets more hyper the more wine I drink.  LOL.  I try to hold to no more than 2 glasses of the stuff or I'm up all night.  I know I'm strange.
