The BMW Hydrogen 7 Test Period

Yes, BMW has got a car that has been running on liquid hydrogren.

Last year, BMW debuted the BMW Hydrogen 7 - the world's first hydrogen-drive luxury performance automobile - to help stimulate demand for a viable hydrogen infrastructure in the long term. The car comes equipped with an internal combustion engine capable of running on either liquid hydrogen or gasoline and is based on the BMW 760Li. The V12 cylinder engine delivers 260 hp; the top speed of the Hydrogen 7 is 143 mph and acceleration 0-60 mph is 9.2 sec. When driving in hydrogen mode, emissions of the BMW Hydrogen 7 are virtually nothing but water vapor.[emph mine --ed]

How excellent is that! BTW - if you go to the article and read on, it says that the top speed is electronically controlled. (Nanny says: "Don't drive too fast, it's dangerous!") It's exactly what all these global warming whiners have wanted. But I can see it now...

Currently there are only 25 vehicles in the US testing this. Just think of it! All the millions and millions of vehicles that could be on the road... emitting water vapor!!! Holy smokes, I can hear it now...

"You're making the world too wet!"

"You're ruining the ecosystem with all that water!"

"You must stop, it's raining too much now! We're losing our deserts!"

We all know it's coming. Now all we have to do is sit back and watch the Church of Global Warming ***organ music*** turn on the very company trying to do the right thing.

If there's one thing I've learned about these people. Nothing satisfies them. They are determined to be unhappy no matter what. Therefore I suggest watching them as a competitive sport. Points are scored on finding someone from the deranged environuts saying that a new technology is evil (even though far less polluting than current oil driven cars) and will bring the world to its knees in the next 10 years. Bonus points given for finding someone proclaiming that it will cause overpopulation while in turn killing off every human. Triple bonus points for the first person hearing it come out of Algore's mouth.
