Pope Benedict XVI

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany has been elected as Pope. Many people are blogging with varied opinions from very bad to very good. I think... we'll have to wait and see. How will he handle the various crises that arise during his term? How conservative will he really be? How much will be different? There are no answers to these questions yet.

His age must be a consideration. At 78, his advanced age means that his term as Pope may be fairly short. Then again, he may continue on vigorously for another 20 years.

It will be interesting to watch. But unless I see some substantive changes in the way this Pope handles things like the pedophile scandals and murderous dictators... I won't be worrying too much about the other "core" values of the church that he might endorse "as is" or change.

No, I won't jump to any conclusions about the new Pope... I'll be keeping an eye out to see what he does, and let his actions speak for him.

1 did you see the article about the den of the Catholic Church and how this Pope fits perfectly? Apparently he is the second to last before the end of the Catholic Church and the coming of Christ. You never know when you are going to be a part of history... link- http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=43887

2 LOL - where DO you come up with this stuff? That's too funny. We'll have to go to Starbucks and have an "end of the world" party. *grin*
