More 24

With even more screwed up family... the extended version...

Below the fold in deference to those who could care less. First let's start by giving Milo - huge kudos! I didn't think the guy had it in him, but he was able to protect little Miss Screamy-Meamy from the bad guys. Go Milo! Now can I slap that woman... what is her name anyhow? Marilyn? Something like that. The world's most complete wuss. Milo tries to save her life and all she can do is scream - why did he bother. I would've let them have her. Geeze!

This of course is where Jack comes in and takes out the bad guys. Then he nearly strangles his SIL because he thinks she told the bad guys about him. Now why is Jack shocked to find his father is a raving psychopath? Daddy killed Graem and just tried to blow up Jack and now is holding his grandson hostage in order to find out where the Russian is hiding.

I must say I hope that if Marilyn reappears in the show that Jack slaps the living daylights out of her... but he'd never do that.

Back at CTU we're into the deep soapy mode. Morris may or may not be drinking again. He's feeling guilty... ho-hum... Please please tell me that Chloe will have more and better things to do than yell at Morris through the entire season. Help! Rewrite!

In the meantime, the plot to kill the President is underway. Turns out that Lennox isn't the back stabbing jerk I thought he was. He wanted to ferret out the plot and then call in secret service. Too bad they figured it out. The lesser weasel has knocked him out and tied him up. Now please tell me why they didn't just kill him - after all they're not above killing the President. Geeze so often stuff makes no sense.

Oh yeah, CTU did finally find the house that the Russian was supposedly using - he wasn't there. I wonder how it is that CTU seems to have an inexhaustible supply of agents... they have been killed by the dozens in this season alone - yet there are always 30 or 40 more ready to go at a moment's notice.

Next week... the weaselly President from last year is back. And here I thought we were rid of the jerk. Jack is on his way to meet him... Hmmm.

1 You know, since ex-Pres was in on the plot last year we should have seen this coming... but I didn't.

On the sleepy meter, this ep got a 7. Pretty much kept me awake...

Marilyn... I wanted to slap her. I understand screaming in surprise or sudden fear... but instinct takes over when your life is in jeopardy... adrenalin flows, senses seem sharper and your body harnesses resources for *survival*, not screaming like a 5 year old.

Idiots. Every time that happens I want to... scream.
