Then we have weaselly Presidential assistant who wants to get Karen Hughs away from the Pres. Poor little weasel he can't stand her bald faced interference in his plans to turn the country into a concentration camp. Thus he turns to threats to make her leave. His flunky is very pleased to pull together all kinds of lies to get himself noticed. Ho-hum...
In the meantime we have the FBI using a person illegally arrested and put into one of the detention centers... only to find out that the men in there are getting info from a web site and not from the main terrorist guy. But there's so little in the way of guards in this place, the men beat the spy nearly to death before the ever efficient agents can get him out of harm's way.
So have we got this? We have one uber maniacal weasel assistant to the President, who manages to blackmail the opposition into leaving during the middle of a crisis. We have the even more weaselly assistant to the assistant helping this along to further his career. A bunch of supposedly non-terrorists taking up time and effort because they read web sites. And a very confused looking President... (can I tear out my hair now?)
Then we have the fruits of the uber weasel Presidential assistant being felt at CTU, where one of the top analysts is being kept from doing her job because she's of middle eastern descent. I have to wonder at the logic behind such a move only after a nuke goes off. Wouldn't you have thoroughly vetted one of these people BEFORE they got to the top ranks of CTU? Of course, CTU is also supposed to be the most secure place in the world, yet terrorists always seem to gain access...
Then we have Jack's brother who is even more Uberly Maniacally Weaselly than the President's assistant. He's just killed 2 CTU operatives and now he's going to have his own brother and father killed. (why is it that Jack is the only CTU operative that can stay alive?)
Jack is going to have to kill his brother by the end of the show. As for the father - he is apparently willing to go to just about any length to protect the little weasel boy... apparently it surprised him when weasel boy turned on him and ordered him to be killed. My my - Peyton Place doesn't have anything on this bunch.
We need more action! Geeze I'm tired of watching people jockeying for position. And much as I like President Wayne Palmer, he seems to be too incredibly naive to ever have gotten to be President. I hope all these weeks of building up this idiotic plot will have a pay off. Otherwise I may not watch next year.

I yawned a good deal during the hour, but managed to stay awake based on the hope that Jack would get to kick some major a$$.
Ho Hum indeed...

Jack has one more chance...besides, I'm tired of recording 'Heroes' while Jack is on...if Jack and the President don't get serious, I'm gonna be watchin' Heroes exclusively.
