Warm Enough for Pictures

Kinda.

It was in the 20's and the wind wasn't too bad AND we had sun!  So I took the camera when we walked yesterday.

Look at this - you can see the rock walls!  There is sunlight!

The pond is frozen over, but the stream that drains the excess water (a pipe runs under the road) had some pretty fun ice formations.

Not quite frozen over on that side, and all the splashing causes some odd looking things to appear.

Pretty cool looking isn't it.

I like it.

Yet another dog to add to the list of dogs we have seen while out walking.  This guy was very placid, he looked at us for a minute and went right back to the important work of sniffing around.

At one point someone had cleared a place to play hockey.

It would need to be swept or shoveled to skate now since there's been a coating of snow.

Ice fishing is a popular pastime too.  Usually the ice fishers are too far out to get a picture, this guy was done for the day and walking back to his car.

Then we're back to rock walls - the sun was good on this one.

However, one of the other walls looks like it was hit by a truck.

I mean that literally.  There are no tire tracks and no other reason a new wall should have fallen like that, but there is a driveway on the other side of the street. We figure a big box truck must have pulled out and just backed up a little too far.

The only saving grace - it's hard to ruin rocks. It should be rebuilt fairly easily.

That's all for now.  There are more pics, but I'll save some for later posts.   After all, it's supposed to snow again on Wednesday so I'll need something to do.

1 Omigosh - you have bare ground!  I see greenish grass!  All we have is knee-deep snow.

Srsly, your pictures remind me that we'll have greenery, too ... eventually.  ;^)

3 I love the glistening icy ones...very very pretty. And the doggie woggie is so cute, too. You captured him (her?) with a funny look on his (her?) face.

6 Rev Paul - yes we have grass for now... snow is coming again.

Rich - I was sooo happy to see it after far too long with none!

E - not sure if the doggie is a he or she, but said pup was supremely disinterested in us except for a look as we walked by. LOL.

Patti - ROFLMAO

Pam - thanks I though they looked pretty cool too.
