I'm so past the obvious link whoring stage.

Of course, I have only 6 steady readers now.

The rest of them are as unsteady as can be.

(This is an example of why nobody reads me anymore. Drivel!)

2 Rob "Acidman" Smith used to say that, and he proved it to be so.  If the content isn't there, all the bloggy glitz, glitter and "marketing" amounts to trying to shine shit.

3 I tend agree with most of what your previous commenters said, but, the whole getting people to write about you? For what? I think it's nice when bloggers are just themselves since...how can I say this?

We have our outlet, our audience, and the friends we've made from it...we've gone to blogmeets and had great times with each other, and we will again in the future...so? We need to be written about?

After doing this for three to four years, I find that I am more interested in peeps who aren't trying to proverbially sleep with the boss to get to the top of the TTLB food chain...we cannot all be Glenn Reynolds, which is alright by me.

I just like to read stuff and either laugh, be touched, learn something, or commune with others in the comments (comment/commune = same Latin root?)...I try to provide that and I think you, Jim and Suzette, more or less, fill that need admirably for me.

I love youse guys...as Linda Richman once said on SNL: "Don't go changin' just to please me...I'll tumble 4 ya."

4 Oh, I'm not going to go changing.  Can't see why anyone would want to link to the stuff I blather about.   No, I was amused that the quality of the post itself wasn't one of the criteria for trying to get a link from others. Heh.  It's such a basic thing, yet wasn't even mentioned.
